The Secret To Perfect Impact Is A Feedback Mechanism
Train Your Mind — And Your Hands — To Deliver A Perfectly Struck Shot, Every Swing
The Perfect Impact Training Club will not let you hit the ball off the ground unless your hands lead the clubhead. Get it right and you compress the ball. Get it wrong and the club tells you — instantly.

"You want the center of mass of the club to strike the center of mass of the golf ball. That's where you compress the ball. You hit it your longest distances, and you take a slight divot with an iron. So the question is, can we get a product that will train the ideal impact angle of approach? That's what the Perfect Impact Trainer does."

Dear fellow golfer,
If your ball-striking is consistently inconsistent, I want you to read this page carefully.
Thin one. Fat one. A pure one. Then a thin one again — with the same swing thought that produced the pure one.
I've been teaching the Single Plane Swing for more than twenty-five years, and I can tell you what that pattern almost always is.
It's not your swing. It's your impact.
Every good shot in golf has one thing in common: at the moment the club meets the ball, the hands are ahead of the clubhead. We call it shaft lean. It is what lets you compress the ball, take a slight divot after it, and hit it your longest distances.
Lose the shaft lean — flip the hands, let the clubhead pass — and the center of the clubface can no longer reach the center of the ball. That's the fat shot. That's the thin shot. That's the "I hit it great on the range and lost it on the first tee."
The good news is that impact is fixable. And once you fix it, the rest of your game gets easier than it has any right to be.
What Moe simplified for me
Moe Norman's secret to a repeatable swing
When I met Moe Norman, it changed my golf game — and my life — forever.
But there is one part of the golf swing that Moe simplified for me more than any other. I never really understood it until I met him.
It's the reason you might be working against the design of your clubs, and making it harder than it should be to square the clubface at impact.
Moe's ball-striking secret: the swing plane, and why your clubs are built for it.
Moe didn't fight his clubs. He set up so that the shaft, the hands, and the plane were already in position to strike the ball with the center of the face — and then he simply returned to it.
The Perfect Impact Training Club is built around that one idea. It makes Moe's impact the only impact the club will accept.
Understanding the ideal Single Plane impact position
A consistent impact position produces a consistent ball flight, a consistent distance, and a consistent divot.
Here is what that position looks like, and why it works the way it does.
A closer look at the Single Plane impact position.
How to feel and develop it
Knowing the position is one thing. Feeling it — at speed, with a ball in front of you — is another. This is where most golfers get stuck.
The three things that have to happen for a perfect impact, and how to train them.
Is your practice making you worse?
If you step up to the ball with too many swing thoughts in your head, you're not going to hit a good shot.
That's why practice is key. You create muscle memory so that when you're out on the course, you swing on plane and square the clubface at impact automatically.
But your practice can also hurt you — if you're grooving the wrong motions into muscle memory.
A bucket of balls with no feedback is a bucket of balls spent rehearsing whatever you already do. If what you already do is flip the hands at the bottom, you just got better at flipping.
Your hands will happily repeat a mistake ten thousand times if nothing stops them.
So to guarantee your practice makes you a better ball-striker — not a worse one, accidentally — you need something in your hands that stops the mistake before it becomes a habit.
Introducing
The Perfect Impact Training Club
How it works: a hittable 6-iron with two "secret advantages" built right into it. Watch from about the 1:30 mark to see both.
The two built-in advantages that put you in the perfect impact position — every swing.
It will not let you flip
The lower part of the clubface is shaved to a negative loft. Arrive with the hands behind the ball and the club tops it. Arrive with proper shaft lean and it compresses the ball off the center of the face. You feel the difference on the very first swing.
It shows you your hands
A red line on the face and white paint on the shaft. Set up with your hands forward and the red line disappears and the white paint all but vanishes. See too much white and your hands are too far back. No mirror, no video, no coach required.
It sets your address
The Graves Golf Single Plane training grip puts your hands on the club correctly. Sole the club and the paint runs to your toe line, giving you the proper distance from the ball. Every rep starts from the right place.

Here's what it is, in plain English:
A real, hittable 6-iron — you take it to the range and hit balls with it, right alongside your own irons.
A clubhead with reverse loft below the impact zone — so the only way to get the ball in the air is to deliver the handle first, with the shaft leaning forward the way Moe's did.
Shaft markings and a training grip — the address, the grip, and the hand position are set for you before the swing even starts.
"This club is designed to help us improve the moment of strike. It's getting the proper shaft lean, it's getting the ideal angles of the club shaft at address, and it's getting our hands on the club correctly. All those things combined are how this club is going to help you learn to get to the ideal impact position."

A lesson on the range
See it transform a swing in three swings
What if I told you that you could transform your swing in as little as 10 minutes and 3 swings?
It sounds too good to be true, right?
Watch my quick lesson with Calvin Harris, a Graves Golf student. I show him my favorite way to hone the perfect impact position — something you can use too, to groove repeatable center contact for pure ball-striking and longer, straighter shots.
Todd's lesson with Calvin Harris: three swings with the Perfect Impact Training Club.
Don't make this mistake at impact
Too many golfers come out of posture at the bottom of their swings.
That is what causes the fat shot and the thin shot — the club arrives at a different height than it left.
Here is how extension from impact, through release, and into the finish keeps you in posture and keeps the strike solid.
Impact through release and finish — why staying in posture is what makes contact repeatable.
Practice what I show you here. Then practice it with the Perfect Impact Training Club specifically, and pure contact becomes close to automatic.
How to hit the ball farther without swinging any harder
If you don't hit the ball as far as you want, you either need:
More strength, or
Better contact
The first is harder to come by, especially when you're older or battling injuries.
The second — better contact — is fixable. And once you fix your impact, you start hitting it longer without any additional effort.
No extra muscle required.
That's what compression is. Center of the clubface into the center of the ball, with the shaft leaning forward. It is the longest shot your swing can produce, and it comes from position, not power.
A few honest warnings before you order
It is a range club. You hit balls with it. If you only want something to swing in the living room, this is not that tool.
The first few swings may be humbling. If your habit is to flip, the club will top the ball until you stop flipping. That is the feedback working, not the club failing.
It will not swing the club for you on Saturday. A few balls with it at the start of every range session, then a few with your own 6-iron, is what turns the feel into your feel.

My iron-clad 60-day money-back guarantee
Take it to the range for two months. Hit balls with it. If it doesn't give you a clearer feel for impact than anything you've tried, send it back within 60 days and I'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
Questions golfers ask
Do I actually hit balls with it?
Yes. It's a hittable 6-iron and it is meant for the range. The feedback comes from the ball: deliver the handle first with proper shaft lean and it compresses off the center of the face; arrive with the hands behind the ball and the negative-loft area tops it.
What does the club tell me at address?
Two things. The white paint on the shaft all but disappears when your hands are correctly forward — see too much white and your hands are too far back. And when you sole the club, the paint runs to your toe line, which sets your distance from the ball.
Is it only for Single Plane golfers?
It was built for the Single Plane Swing and it comes with our training grip. But shaft lean at impact is a fundamental of every good swing — Moe simply did it more consistently than anyone. Whatever your swing looks like, the club still rewards hands-forward impact and still punishes the flip.
How often should I use it?
A handful of balls at the start of every range session, alternating with your own 6-iron. The feel transfers because the club is the same length and weight as the iron you'll play with.
What if it's not for me?
Then it costs you nothing — you're covered by the 60-day guarantee above.
Squaring the clubface at impact — the automatic way
You can keep hoping the good contact shows up on its own. Or you can practice with a club that makes the perfect impact position the only position it will accept.
It makes so much sense why this training club gets you in the perfect position every time. And why that feeling is so easy to carry from practice to play.
